Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless gaming headphones offer exceptional audio and comfort. Their sturdy headband won’t apply pressure to either side of your head, and two memory foam ear pads make this pair incredibly cozy to use.
They feature a detachable boom microphone and can be used wirelessly with either a USB dongle or Bluetooth on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch; additionally they boast excellent battery life.
Graphene drivers
Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless headset stands out as one of the top gaming headsets for its price, thanks to its use of graphene drivers, which boast more rigid diaphragms than traditional drivers and provide greater accuracy and less distortion over time. Customizing audio via EQ settings on G HUB app makes customizing sound easier still!
This headset also boasts a detachable boom microphone with very clear audio that is capable of picking up voice commands. Battery life is impressive as well; according to its manufacturer, one charge may last for 50 hours of continuous use.
Another significant upgrade over its predecessor is the use of next-generation graphene audio drivers. This upgrade makes the headphones lighter and offers better comfort, as well as allowing more of the game’s audio and environment (such as footsteps and ambient noise) to be heard more clearly by users. Furthermore, sounds have never been so detailed and stereo mix is more balanced than ever before!
The mic on this headset is decent but not as great as those found in competing headsets such as Corsair Virtuoso series headsets. Still, most gamers should find it adequate and features include adjustable mic enhancement features like de-essers, noise gates and vocal clarity boost.
DTS Headphone:X
The G Pro X 2 Lightspeed builds upon its predecessor with graphene drivers, rock solid comfort, and long battery life. Additionally, this headset boasts outstanding audio, seamlessly balancing power with precision for an impressively clear sound experience – bass-heavy tracks such as Skrillex’s “Rumble” or Jessie Ware’s ‘Free Yourself” by sounding big, full, and deep while Hans Zimmer’s “Why So Serious”‘s screeching highs sounding crisp and urgently clear!
Logitech’s headset excels when it comes to comfort, with an ample padded headband cradling the ears while offering moderate clamp pressure that was just right during marathon gaming sessions. There’s also plenty of memory foam in its ear cushions; and two pairs with soft Velour fabric ear cups were included for users who prefer this material over leatherette.
As with its predecessor, this headset connects wirelessly to both your PC and console via a USB dongle, with the option of pairing it to any mobile phone or tablet for Bluetooth listening. Logitech’s G Hub software provides additional benefits by giving access to handy controls such as saving EQ settings across both connected devices – something many headset apps cannot offer; as well as switching on DTS Headphone X for improved spatial rendering of games and music that sounds truly astounding.
Blue VO!CE
The G PRO X 2’s boom mic offers outstanding recording quality. It can pick up on your voice even in noisy environments and do an outstanding job at eliminating background noise – making it easy for others to understand what you are saying. Unfortunately, however, its sound output may sound slightly sharp compared to similar headsets such as SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless which also use this microphone technology.
The headset’s battery life is outstanding; easily reaching its stated 50 hours of playback for gaming marathons or an office workday. Furthermore, these headphones feature mobile cables equipped with in-line microphones so that they can be used with phones or tablets for convenient operation.
As with the prior generation, G PRO X headphones are comfortable and feature an appealing design. Constructed of steel, aluminum and plastic materials, they feel sturdy. The ear cups are generous in size and feature deep contours, while their hinged yokes reduce pressure on your head if you wish to sling them around your neck. Furthermore, these headphones fit comfortably on most heads without clamping too tightly if you wear glasses. The hinge of the G PRO X 2 allows its yoke to swivel for custom head fit adjustment, and you can connect via wire, Bluetooth or its 2.4GHz USB-A dongle. While not supporting apt X Adaptive which reduces latency on Android devices, Bluetooth performance should still provide smooth synching with video apps.
Controls
Logitech’s G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless headset delivers immersive, precise audio in an ergonomic, durable design for an enjoyable listening experience. Boasting an impressive battery life and clear voice communication through their top-of-the-line microphones, these headphones also boast impressive noise canceling abilities to minimize background sound levels and are compatible with PCs, Macs, PlayStation consoles, Xbox One controllers, and Xbox 360 controllers – making this a versatile headset that you won’t want to part with anytime soon.
These headphones feature low-latency 2.4GHz Lightspeed wireless, Bluetooth and analog (3.5mm) connections and come equipped with a USB-C to USB-A cable for charging as well as a 3.5mm adapter and soft zippered storage bag for easy transport and charging. Furthermore, there’s an inbuilt sound wheel to adjust volume gradually or instantly and you can switch between connections simply by pressing a button.
Logitech G Hub software makes managing and using the headset easy for computers; smartphone, tablet and other users can utilize its free mobile app for use with phones, tablets, etc. Furthermore, this headset works with popular streaming services such as Spotify, Pandora and YouTube for optimal use.
The G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED headset from Logitech is more versatile than its SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless predecessors in that it is both analog and Bluetooth capable, while Astro A50 Gen 4 Wireless only supports wireless connections and doesn’t allow analog/wireless coexistence. Furthermore, the Logitech has a slightly better mic and longer battery life while offering two sets of cloth/leatherette covered memory foam earpads in case the original ones don’t suit you or for long gaming sessions.
