Tesla’s Model Y electric SUV is one of the world’s best sellers and one of the quickest to accelerate from zero to 60 MPH.

A refreshed Juniper should improve the car’s performance and efficiency, as well as offer improved range and interior features.

Tesla needs this refresh to maintain their market leadership amid increasing competition and potential pricing problems due to the expiration of federal EV tax credits.

Range

The refreshed Model Y Juniper should boast an even longer range than its predecessor. When equipped with standard 19-inch wheels, the SUV should cover over 310 miles; opting for larger 20-inch wheels may reduce this number slightly to around 320 miles.

The Juniper version of Tesla’s Model Y will also offer upgraded seats and cooling, reflecting their commitment to improving comfort and convenience features in their vehicles. Additional changes include an updated center console design with wireless charging pads for added storage space as well as increased side support for enhanced safety when driving fast. Additionally, front seat passengers will enjoy more side support during spirited driving situations.

Tesla’s Juniper version of the Model Y will include its Full Self-Driving suite as a standard feature, providing drivers with advanced collision avoidance capabilities and active driver assistance under supervision – perfect for motorists wanting to forgo steering and shifting gears!

Juniper variant will also be compatible with Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network, enabling drivers to charge their vehicles quickly in as little as 15 minutes. Furthermore, it features improved connectivity software and driver assistance features; likely debuting alongside AI5 hardware from Tesla.

Performance

Tesla’s Model Y Juniper compact SUV has been updated to deliver greater safety and performance, as well as more appealing exterior design elements such as its newly introduced tailgate spoiler that sits above C-shaped LED rear lights that have now integrated into a full width light bar. Furthermore, an optional Active Hood sensor lowers when it detects pedestrians ahead of the vehicle at speeds between 30-52 km/h (19-32 mph), helping prevent pedestrian injuries by protecting them from being struck by its rear end.

Performance wise, the Model Y Juniper can travel 353 miles on one charge – 22 more miles than its predecessor model – with faster acceleration (60mph in just 4.1 seconds) as well as being capable of carrying more luggage – its spacious cargo bay can hold 2260 liters, enough for six people.

Notebook check reports that the new Model Y will also benefit from battery upgrades to expand its range. According to them, its motors will feature fourth-generation motors which are lighter and more efficient than its current third-generation ones, helping Long Range and Performance variants go farther on a single charge.

Design

Tesla’s popular Model Y compact SUV will get an upgrade this year. Dubbed Juniper, the update will include design refinements to make it one of the world’s best-selling electric vehicles and is the latest installment of updates to this top car from Tesla.

The most noticeable differences to the Model Y Juniper are its new front and rear light strips, featuring futuristic styling similar to Cyber truck. These will lend it a more modern appearance while simultaneously serving to display relevant information about it.

Other changes include a revised steering wheel that features controls for lights, horn and other functions. Meanwhile, the traditional stalk used to select gears and activate Autopilot has been replaced with a touchpad on the right side of the wheel; additionally, customisable buttons allow users to flash their headlights.

The updated Model Y will feature several interior upgrades. A newly redesigned dashboard with ambient lighting should help give the minimalist cabin more of a lounge-like ambience, and other rumored features may include a swiveling center screen and cooling seats – features that could help increase sales at a time when sales have seen declines since 2020.

Price

The revised Tesla Model Y Juniper can be expected to be slightly more expensive than its current version, likely featuring both Long Range RWD and AWD versions, with Performance trim providing additional speed and range enhancement. Tesla may make some subtle modifications to wheel designs in order to improve aero performance, and may alter mirror designs accordingly.

The new Model Y will also see some interior upgrades and improvements, matching those found in its sister car the Model 3. Expect new seat colors to match those on its sibling vehicle as well as different design for its rearview mirrors. Furthermore, Tesla may add Steam gaming support – though this could better suit Model S/X models instead.

As with other Tesla vehicles, the Model Y will receive periodic software updates that add new functionality and enhance reliability over time. This is particularly relevant to vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving capabilities as this will allow it to learn about your driving patterns over time.

As of now, Tesla Model Y vehicles can be ordered in North America starting at $61,630 for their limited-production Launch Series; which comes equipped with standard all-wheel drive and Full Self-Driving (Supervised). A single charge can cover 320 miles.
